‘Elevate’24,’ the one-day conclave organised by HREvolve in Technopark here today, was a resounding success with immense participation by the HR fraternity. The event focused on the evolving role of people leaders in preparing organisations for future challenges and opportunities in business.
The event’s theme was ‘Shaping the Future: Leading with Agility, Innovation, and Purpose’. It aimed to position people leaders at the forefront of building adaptive, innovative, and purpose-driven organisations.
HREvolve is a forum of HR professionals and enthusiasts dedicated to reshaping the future of human resources at Technopark. It is part of GTech and MuLearn.
Col. Sanjeev Nair (Retd.), CEO, Technopark, said at the inaugural session of ‘Elevate’24’ conclave that while looking for a hire, the thought should not be to just hire potential employees but to nurture them as leaders. For the same there has to be cross-functional knowledge sharing. The hustle culture has to be transformed into a huddle culture where people collaborate and share ideas.
He added that we must be aware of the psyche of the younger generations (Gen Z & Millennials) who have lost two vital years of their school/college life during COVID, and they look for a purpose in the professions that they undertake. “Though Industry may want industry ready hires, companies should be flexible enough to spare time to give the youngsters an opportunity that defines purpose. Also the aspect of sharing good HR practices amongst companies within the park was emphasised upon so that the whole of Technopark transforms to be a great workplace to be.”
In his address, Anoop Ambika, CEO of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), stressed the importance of creating an organisational culture through better communication, training, and upskilling.
Noting that HR managers largely contribute to a company’s growth, Ambika said transparency has become critical as people want to know what is happening in the organisation.
Sreekumar V, Centre Head, Tata Elxsi and Secretary, GTech, and Deepa Nair, Member, HREvolve, also attended the inaugural session of the conclave held at the Park Centre, Technopark.
Deepu S Nath, MD, FAYA, who attended the session through videoconferencing, said the conclave highlights the growing need for collaboration in these rapidly changing times.
“As workplaces evolve, this platform will be pivotal in fostering innovative ideas and strategies that will shape the future of work and drive collective success,” he added.
The inaugural session was followed by a keynote address by Raj Raghavan, CPO at CoreStack Inc., Former HR Leader at Indigo, Amazon APAC & ME, GE India.
The focus of the meet was on enabling leaders to navigate the complexities of technology, workforce transformation, and behavioural science-based decisions while fostering a human-centred approach to leadership.
The conclave also featured sessions on various topics suggested by experts and a panel discussion. Biju Dominic, Chief Evangelist, Fractal Analytics & Chairman, FinalMile Consulting, spoke on ‘Shaping the Future of Human Behaviour with Insights from Neuroscience’ while Magical Rafi, Founder & Chief Mentor, Magic of Change, shared his thoughts on ‘Rewire to Reshape: Preparing Our Minds for the Future.’
Other prominent speakers at the conclave included Dedeepya Ajith John, Senior Director – South & Advisory Services, APAC, SHRM; Aravind Warrier, HR Leader at Volvo India; Pratap G, Founder, Leadership Experiences; Suja Chandy, Chief Sustainability Officer, Zafin; Varghese Cherian, Head Technology & Services, UST; and Leyones Abraham from Infosys and Dr. Jayasankar Prasad, Director, DCSMAT.
The HREvolve community converges every third Thursday at Park Centre, Technopark, and hosts interactive, expert-led sessions that tackle evolving HR challenges and opportunities. This platform encourages networking, learning, collaboration, and open dialogue, allowing members to exchange ideas and insights on the latest industry trends.
