  • Infosys Thiruvananthapuram DC Celebrates International Women’s Day

    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
    Infosys Thiruvananthapuram Development Center (DC) organized a month-long celebration for International Women’s Day to acknowledge the contribution of women Infoscions.

    As part of these celebrations, employees at Thiruvananthapuram DC planned multiple activities to nurture, innovate and inspire women both within and outside Infosys in Thiruvananthapuram. The women’s day programs were organized and conducted by SOUL (Shades of our Life) – the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) team of Infosys Thiruvananthapuram DC. The events focused on women health and well-being. The celebration was not just limited to women at Infosys but extended to the society at large.

    Some of the key highlights of the celebration included programs for underprivileged girl students, design thinking ideations, health checkup camps, a women-only recruitment drive with participation from women leaders, gamified women leadership session on contextual leadership, hobby stalls, tech and D&I policy contests and technology talks by women leaders to name a few.

    The SOUL team partnered with NGOs for differently-abled children and weavers affected by the flood in Kerala last year to set up stalls at the campus. Aligned to the District Collector’s green initiative, the team donated 200 steel water-bottles to underprivileged children on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

    Infosys Thiruvananthapuram DC concluded the month-long celebration with ‘Women Achiever Awards’. The objective of the awards was to recognize all-rounder’s who have gone beyond the boundary of expected outcomes and achieved excellence in championing the cause of women empowerment within Infosys and in society. Dr. Asha Thomas – Additional Chief Secretary, Labour and Skills, Govt. of Kerala graced the award ceremony as the Chief Guest and Tiffani Brar, Disability Rights Activist and founder of city-based Jyothirgamaya Foundation was the Guest Speaker.
