Institute of Water and Environmental Research Launched in Kochi

KOCHI:
The Institute of Water and Environmental Research (IWER), a specialised educational institution focused on water and environmental management, was inaugurated by film star and brand ambassador Anoop Menon. This is the first comprehensive institute in Kerala offering courses related to water testing and treatment.

Operating under the Watermaq brand of Clean Hub Pollution Control Systems Private Limited, the institute draws on over 18 years of industry experience. IWER offers practical, industry-oriented courses in environmental engineering, water analysis and testing, ETP and STP operations, advanced water treatment technologies and quality management, with training aligned to IS 10500 and WHO standards.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director E.K. Marakkar said the institute aims to enhance employment opportunities and promote sustainable water solutions. The institute’s logo and campaign video were released at the inauguration. Director and actor Shankar Ramakrishnan spoke at the event.
