THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Highlighting Kerala’s unmatched potential as a highly promising investment destination in diverse domains, the Department of Industries and Commerce launched the “Unbox Kerala” campaign, setting the context for the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS) scheduled in Kochi on February 21 -22, 2025.
“Kerala is unboxing and unlocking itself to the world to discover the unmatched set of potential it has,” Minister for Industries, Law and Coir P Rajeeve said while launching the campaign here.
Through the campaign, which leverages mainstream and social media, Kerala is showcasing the compelling reasons for investors to partner in sectors like AI and robotics, Ayurveda, Aerospace and Defence, Logistics and Maritime, MedTech, Food Processing, Tourism and hospitality and Renewable Energy, he said.
The campaign, structured across three phases starting this month and ending in February, will targeting potential investors.
It highlights the strides made by the state in industrial development recently, including the top EODB ranking, investor-friendly policies in place and some of its enabling features which have largely remained unknown so far.
It brings to greater focus the industrial climate of the state, highlighting inherent advantages, business possibilities and networking opportunities.
Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) MD Harikishore S, KSIDC Executive Director Harikrishnan R, IKGS Officer on Special Duty Vishnu Raj P and KSIDC General Manager Varghese Malakkaran were present on the occasion.
For the last few months, the state Industries Department has been building up the tempo for IKGS 2025 by organising a series of domain-centric conclaves and round table meetings in the state and roadshows across the country including those in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai jointly with industry partners Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), which have resonated well with investors.
