

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The innovative solutions and products by tech startups from Kerala have grabbed attention at the India Startup Confluence held on the sidelines of the 44th edition of GITEX Global, the largest international tech and startup show, in Dubai.
Indian tech startups, investors and the best of startup ecosystems in the UAE participated in the event organised by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) in association with Startup Middle East. SME companies from Kerala IT also attended the meet.
Consulate General of India to Dubai, Satish Kumar Sivan was the chief guest at the event.
A panel discussion was also held as part of India Startup Confluence. It was attended by Sivarajah Ramanathan from Startup TN, Ghanim Al Falasi (Dubai Silicon Oasis), Rikant Pittie (Easemytrip), Shivangi Jain (Startup India) and Prajeet Prabhakaran, IT Fellow- High Power IT Committee, Government of Kerala.
Kerala IT has a 110 sq. m pavilion at GITEX Global 2024 with the theme ‘Powering innovation’, featuring the state’s IT ecosystem’s commitment to leveraging technology for sustainable development and societal upliftment.
Officials of London & Partners, the growth agency for London, visited Kerala IT pavilion and held discussions with delegation from Kerala regarding investment and possible collaborations in various tech domains.
Startups from the state are also participating Expand North Star expo at Dubai Harbour, a staple event of the October 14-18 GITEX Global 2024 being held in Dubai World Trade Centre. The companies had a briefing session at KSUM’s Startup Infinity Center in Dubai before proceeding to GITEX where Kerala’s vibrant IT ecosystem is being showcased. Kerala IT has regular presence at GITEX Global since 2016.
Vishnu V. Nair and Prajeet Prabhakaran, IT Fellows supporting High Power IT Committee, Government of Kerala, are representing Kerala IT at the global event.
Kerala startups are displaying products and conducting demos across a range of technological domains including data analytics, AI, cybersecurity, website development, ERP solutions, mobile app development, DevOps and cloud services at the expo.
The Government of Kerala has been proactively fostering a thriving IT ecosystem, working on innovative models of development including industry-academia collaboration and public-private partnership.
All the three IT Parks (Technopark, Infopark & Cyberpark) along with GTECH are supporting the cause of showcasing IT/ITES companies of the Kerala IT ecosystem at GITEX Dubai.
