KOCHI:
Demonstrating the state’s growing global footprint in technology and innovation, 35 startups supported by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) will participate in a flagship segment of GITEX Global in the UAE commencing on Sunday.
Billed as one of the world’s largest gatherings of startups, investors and technology leaders, the October 12-15 Expand North Star 2025 Expo at Dubai Harbour is hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.
The four-day event features over 2,000 startups and 1,500 investors from more than 100 countries, making the expo a major global platform for innovation, investment and collaboration.
The event was earlier known as GITEX Future Stars.
KSUM has established a dedicated Kerala Pavilion (Hall 10, Stalls B 94 to 129), where participating startups will exhibit their products, technologies and solutions. Overall, they aim to showcase the state’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.
KSUM CEO Anoop Ambika said the expo serves as a gateway for Kerala startups to engage with international investors and partners. “Expand North Star provides an excellent platform for our startups to showcase their capabilities, explore investment opportunities, and expand into global markets,” he noted.
“With Dubai already hosting our Startup Infinity Centre, this event will further strengthen our ecosystem’s presence in the Middle East,” Mr Ambika pointed out.
The KSUM delegation comprises a diverse range of startups from emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, robotics, SaaS, HealthTech, edtech, and sustainability.
