KSUM Inks MoU with German IT Major adesso

In a vital collaboration that expands the reach of Kerala-based startups, Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with adesso, one of Germany’s leading IT service providers, which will enable the KSUM-backed startups to access working space on rental basis in Berlin, Germany.

adesso India Managing Director Pramod Murali Dharan signed the MoU with Anoop Ambika, CEO of KSUM on the sidelines of the recently concluded Huddle Global Startup Fest 2024.

The purpose of this MoU is to create a formal understanding between adesso SE and KSUM, outlining the rental arrangement and support services provided to startups affiliated with KSUM. adesso SE has agreed to provide workspace and resources at Berlin, Germany for selected startups affiliated with KSUM.

As per the MoU, adesso shall provide an open workspace with a provision of 6 seats in an open-space area, private workspace with 4 seats within a lockable room including food and refreshments.

They shall also provide operational and coordination support, meeting room access and high-speed internet access.

adesso offers digital and IT solutions and services across multiple business domains, ranging from financial services, insurance, automotive, manufacturing, retail, healthcare & utilities. As an innovative IT service provider, adesso focuses on linking technology, research and science in order to shape the solutions of tomorrow.

KSUM and adesso will collaborate to enhance the ecosystem for supporting innovation for the products and services of startups. To enable possibilities of market outreach, adesso will facilitate KSUM startups with enhanced market exposure through its network and industry connections.

adesso also intends to collaborate with academic institutions to foster innovation projects in automotive, mobility, fintech and digital sectors. With a focus on driving innovative solutions to modern business challenges, adesso will also actively engage, steer and participate in various innovation and hackathon initiatives of KSUM.

On its part, KSUM will scout for startups relevant to adesso and conduct talent engagement and acquisition activities through hackathons. With this partnership, KSUM will provide adesso with access to its Labs & Innovation Center for various innovation pilots and proof of concepts.

KSUM, established in 2006 under the Government of Kerala, works for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
