KANNUR:
Malabar Innovation and Entrepreneurship Zone, the union of startup entrepreneurs and software companies in north Kerala, has planned a workshop for angel investors on July 21, in association with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) and the Indian Angel Network (IAN).
The event, titled “Malabar Angel Investors Workshop (AIM 2018),” will be held at Hotel Blue Nile, Kannur, from 9am to 5pm. The aim of the workshop is to equip the local angel investors with knowledge and skills needed to become a competent angel investor and provide more insights to them on how to go about with their plans.
M. Sivasankar, IT Secretary to Government of Kerala, will inaugurate the workshop. Shilen Sagunan, Chairman, Malabar Innovation and Entrepreneurship Zone, will preside over the function. Dr. Saji Gopinath, CEO, KSUM, will be the special guest.
Nagaraja Prakasam, IAN, M V Subramanian, IAN, P.K. Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, Malabar Angel Network and Former CEO and MD, Wep Solutions India Ltd, Ajith Balakrishnan, founder, Rediff.com, and Aneish Kumar, MD, Bank of New York Mellon, are the main speakers of the workshop.
Pradeep, CEO, FarmersFz and many other startup entrepreneurs will attend the event. FarmersFz is the first startup funded by Malabar Angels. Malabar Innovation and Entrepreneurship Zone was set up for nurturing the startup culture in north Kerala that gives a fillip to traditional commercial sectors like textiles, furniture, tourism, plywood, agri-tech and Ayurveda with the aid of technology.
