KOZHIKODE:
Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is organizing this month an investment meet to boost nascent companies across the state’s northern part, in the run-up to an international event the nodal agency is holding next year.
Named ‘Ignite Kozhikode’, the November 19 conclave in this city will chiefly host angel investment master-classes that will explain the challenges before traditional industries in upstate Malabar to invest in startups. Experts will also enlighten the participants on ways to overcome such issues, according to the organisers at KSUM which is set to convene the ‘Seeding Kerala’ global investment meet in February 2023.
The set of master-classes at Hotel Apollo Dimora will feature lectures on ensuring investment for startups, aiding startups to receive investments and enlighten its owners on the legal and technical aspects of such matters. Registrations can be made at https://seedingkerala.com/ignite/html.
The event will also host an Investor Café, for which registrations can be made at https://startupmission.kerala.gov.in/pages/investorcafe. Facilitating 15 select startups to interact with investors, this meet will be led by more than startup investment companies such as Indian Angel Network, Speciale Invest, Smart Parks, Malabar Angels, Kerala Angels, Lead Angels Network, Dexter Capital Advisors, Ah Ventures and Equis Capital.
Experts will deliver talk on value assessment of startups and legal matters to be considered while accepting startup investments. Leading startup investors from Kerala will interact with entrepreneurs in Malabar, sharing their professional experiences and views on the scope and challenges of investment in startups.
