Let’s Talk: Conference on ‘Art, Body, Thought: Expressions’

KOCHI:
A stimulating four-day conclave featuring eminent thinkers from across intellectual disciplines, ideological schools and professional streams will begin tomorrow (Friday) on the sidelines of the ongoing third edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB).
Titled ‘Art, Body, Thought: Expressions’, the conference – organised by the Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) and supported by HCL and Kiran Nadar Museum of Art – will be held at the Pavilion in Cabral Yard, Fort Kochi from January 13-16.
Part of the KBF’s ‘Let’s Talk’ series, the conference will discuss a number of perspectives and concerns. There will be conversations on topics as varied as Art and Art Thought; Kerala’s identity and its Visual Environment; Regionalism and Usage (dialect). Some other topics that will come for stimulating discussions are Coding and implementation; Language, Poetry, Philosophy; and Custom, Creative Expressions and Art.
A special session titled ‘Biennale First Look’ will feature discussions between Anita Thampy and Dr. Nissar Ahmed, who will deliver the keynote address at Friday’s inaugural function. T
here will also be sessions on the works of C.G. Krishnan, Ramu Aravindan and Vinu V.V. ‘Udaluravu’, a unique creative work by Sankar Venkateswaran and Chandru Ninas, will be also performed at the conference.
