Local Art to Adorn Thiruvananthapuram Railway Station

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
In a unique attempt to combine cleanliness with creativity, Railway Ministry has announced adorning of Railway premises, especially stations with tourist importance with Tribal/ Local art. In line with this Southern Railway has identified Rameswaram, Madurai and Thiruvananthapuram Central stations for depicting local /socio cultural paintings. At Thiruvananthapuram Central station an area of 2050 sq feet is getting painted for an aesthetic look. Ceiling of concourse area at main entry(Thampanoor ) and patches in Plat form No. 1 now painted in line with this.
