The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) launched the official website of Seafood Expo Bharat (SEB) 2026 on 12 th December 2025, marking the formal opening of online registrations for exhibitors and delegates. The website was officially inaugurated by D.V. Swamy, Chairman, MPEDA, at MPEDA Headquarters, Kochi, in a hybrid mode with virtual presence of over hundreds of seafood exporters / farmers, SEAI officials and MPEDA officers from various states.
In his welcome address, Anil Kumar P., Joint Director (Marketing), outlined the major features and improved provisions of SEB 2026. Felicitations were offered by Dr. M. K. Ram Mohan, Director, MPEDA; Pavan Kumar, President, SEAI; and Alex K. Ninan, Vice President, SEAI. Speakers emphasized leveraging this international platform to highlight India’s advancements in seafood processing, cold chain infrastructure, and aquaculture diversification, and encouraged exporters to utilise the structured Reverse Buyer–Seller Meetings (RBSM) for expanding global market linkages.

Building on the success of 2025 edition, SEB 2026 will be three times larger, featuring 180 exhibitors, 325+ stalls, and participation from over 5,000 delegates, while showcasing India’s advancements in quality, traceability, technology, sustainability, and value-chain development. D.V. Swamy, Chairman, MPEDA underscored SEB’s role in reinforcing international confidence in India’s safe and sustainable seafood practices by bringing together government agencies, private stakeholders, and global partners.
Dr. Gibin Kumar T. R., Secretary, MPEDA, released the SEB 2026 brochure, which was received by Alex K. Ninan on behalf of SEAI. The event was attended
virtually by hundreds of stakeholders and MPEDA officials from across the country. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. S. Asok Kumar, Deputy Director.
Key features of SEB 2026 include expo with 325 stalls, technical sessions, skill Olympiad, culinary Olympiad, business / trade presentations, buyer–seller meets, seafood tasting sessions, state / country pavilions and industry field visits. In SEB 2026, there will be three categories of B2B meetings (1) B2B between Importers and Exporters (2) B2B between Retailers and Exporters / Farmers (3) B2B between Exporters and Farmers.
More than 100 international buyers from top 25 seafood importing countries and about 50 leading domestic retail chain operators and 1000s of farms and exporters are expected to participate in dedicated buyer–seller interactions, directly connecting exporters with global buyers, retailers, and farmers. The exhibition will span three halls, featuring dedicated zones for ornamental fish, aquaculture technologies, seafood processing equipment and ingredients, exporters, international and state pavilions, govt. agencies, financial institutions and fisheries research institutions.
