National Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition 2016

KOCHI:
School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore has won the India South Rounds of the 12 th Surana & Surana National Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition which was held at the NUALS Campus, Kalamassery from September 3 – 5, 2016. The team comprising of Anish Bojani, Pravesh Lunia, Arjun Ajay and Pranay
Goenka received the Prize from Justice M.R. Hariharan Nair, Former Judge, High Court of Kerala who was also the Chief Guest at the valedictory function.
Prof. (Dr.) Rose Varghese, Vice-Chancellor, NUALS presided over the valedictory function. Dr. S. Ravichandran, Advocate & Head, Academic Initiatives, Surana & Surana International Attorneys, Chennai; Jayapraksh, Former Deputy Director of Prosecution; Dr. Jacob Joseph, Faculty Advisor, NUALS Moot Court Society; Jayasankar N., President, NUALS Students’ Council and Neethu Roy, Secretary, NUALS Moot Court Society also spoke on the occasion.
The Runner-up Prize of the competition was won by University College of Law, Osmania University. The team representing School of Law, SASTRA University, Thanjavur won the Best Memorial Prize. Anish Bojani of School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore was adjudged as the Best Speaker of the Final and Arthi Fernandes of J.S.S. Law College, Mysore was adjudged as the Best Student Advocate of the competition.
