  • PM Modi Visits Adampur Air Base, Hails IAF Heroes after Operation Sindoor Victory

By NE Reporter on May 13, 2025

    ADAMPUR:
A day after addressing the nation on the decisive Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an early morning visit to the Indian Air Force Station in Adampur, Punjab, where he met and interacted with brave air warriors and soldiers involved in the high-stakes military action.

Taking to social media, PM Modi expressed his admiration for the armed forces: “Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination, and fearlessness. India is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation.”

In his national address, PM Modi hailed the “immense courage” displayed by India’s forces during Operation Sindoor, a precision military response launched on May 7. The operation was India’s retaliation to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 people, most of whom were tourists.

Under the codename Operation Sindoor, Indian forces struck nine terror infrastructures—four in Pakistan and five in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The targets included known terror hubs operated by Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. Among the high-profile targets were the Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur, Sarjal camp at Tehra Kalan, and Syedna Bilal camp in Muzaffarabad, each linked to banned extremist outfits.

While India and Pakistan reached a ceasefire understanding on May 10 after four days of cross-border tension, PM Modi clarified that the move is only a temporary pause in retaliation—not a closure. “We have only so far paused our retaliatory action… In the coming days, we will test every step of Pakistan to see what role it has adopted,” he warned.

The Prime Minister underlined that it was Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) who first sought the ceasefire—a notable shift in regional dynamics.

PM Modi reiterated India’s firm position on terrorism and bilateral talks. “Terror and talks cannot go hand in hand. Water and blood cannot flow together,” he asserted. Sending a stern message, he said any discussion with Pakistan going forward would be only about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), reaffirming India’s longstanding territorial claim.

Concluding his remarks, PM Modi emphasized that Operation Sindoor has set a new precedent in India’s fight against terrorism. “India has redefined its doctrine and established a new normal in dealing with terrorism,” he said, crediting the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and scientists for their unified and resolute response.

As the nation watches closely, India’s strong military and diplomatic message has not only reinforced its counterterrorism stance but also reasserted its regional position with firm conviction.
