  • Shriram General Insurance Appoints New Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer

    MUMBAI:
    Leading General Insurance provider, Shriram General Insurance Company Ltd. (SGI), announces the elevation of Viswas Srivastava as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Ashish Goyal as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), with a motive to revitalize its activities in the Insurance sector. With the new appointments of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, Shriram General Insurance expects to re-energize SGI’s channel strategy to give partners more midmarket muscle and enterprise sales commitment.

    On this occasion, Neeraj Prakash, Managing Director, Shriram General Insurance said, “It gives me an immense pleasure to welcome Srivastava and Goyal on their new roles. The board is hopeful that the company can deliver substantial, strategic and operational progress under their able leadership.”

    Viswas Srivastava, who takes over as the role of COO of Shriram General Insurance, is an accomplished Insurance leader and believes in creating value by enabling technology that is focused on outcomes. He is a graduate in Economics & English Literature from Lucknow University and holds a Post-Graduation in Business Administration. Srivastava’s appointment comes at a time when the pandemic has affected both premium and profitability of the company. Srivastava joined Shriram Group in 1996 and is associated with this group for 25 years now. He is a very well-known Administrator and brings considerable credibility, reputation in the industry and deep operational expertise. He is a highly experienced financial services professional with over 30 years’ experience across India.

    Graduate in Economics from Rajasthan University and Fellow member of Insurance Institute of India, Ashish Goyal has more than 17 years of experience in the field of General Insurance in various capacities. He is been associated with Shriram General Insurance since 2012 and headed Renewal Department in his initial endeavor. He was instrumental in launching the C&B channel. He believes in implementation of new technology as it helps in brand building, developing customer base and providing hassle free customer service. Goyal has built a strong Corporates and Broker’s channel leadership team and a robust risk management culture at SGI, making it one of the most sought after companies to work for.
