  • Sixth International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications at Rajagiri

    KOCHI:
    The flagship international conference of Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET) on Advances in Computing & Communications (ICACC-2016) will be conducted from 6 – 8, September 2016 at Kochi, Kerala, India.
    This is the 6th consecutive edition o the conference with a strict acceptance rate of about 15% for all the previous editions. ICACC-2016 will provide a forum for sharing insights, experiences and information on various facets of evolving technologies and patterns related to Computer Science, Information Technology and Electronics. The conference aims at providing an invaluable opportunity for interaction between students, researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry in these fields. More than 600 papers were received from over 38 countries out of which 138 have been selected.
    The conference will be inaugurated by Dr. Kuncheria P Isaac, Vice-Chancellor, A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University on 6 th September, 2016 at Bolgatty Palace and Island Resort, Kochi. Dr. M. Abdul Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor, A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University will be also attending the inaugural function. Rev. Dr. Jose Cletus Plackal, CMI (Chairperson), Provincial, Sacred Heart Province, & Manager, RSET will deliver the presidential address and Prof. Mark Gahegan, Director, Centre for eResearch, University of Auckland will deliver the conference Keynote. Panel discussion on Smart Technologies for a Smarter City is the major highlight of the day. Preconference tutorials on Multi Core Processors & Data Science will also be conducted as part of the conference on 6 th Sep, 2016. Preconference tutorial sessions will be handled by Dr. John Jose, Dept. of Computer Science, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati on the topic “Performance Optimization Techniques for Large Multi-core Processors” and Dr. Deepak Padmanabhan, Queen's University, Belfast, UK, on the topic “Beyond Homogeneous Data: Analytics for Spatial and Multiview Data”.
    The conference will include a peer reviewed program of technical sessions, workshops, tutorials, and demonstration sessions which will be held at Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET) on 7 th and 8 th September, 2016. Dr. Prof. K. J. Vinoy, Indian Institute of Science, India, Dr. Sayan Ray, Manukau Institute of Technology, New Zealand, Dr. Raja Kumar Murugeshan, Taylors University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia are the other eminent speakers of the conference.
    The conference emphasize on promoting a high level interaction between the theoretical, experimental, and applied technologies, so as to exchange ideas in new and emerging areas of computing and communication technologies. It will also serve as a platform to cover the advanced aspects and approaches of computing and communication technologies in real world scenario.
    Theme for this year’s conference is – Ubiquitous computing & communication systems for a smarter world. & Ubiquitous computing also known as pervasive computing is the growing trend towards embedding microprocessors in everyday objects so that they can communicate information. The word pervasive and ubiquitous means “existing everywhere”. In contrast to desktop computing, ubiquitous computing can occur using any device, in any location and in any format. A user interacts with the computer, which can exist in many different forms, including laptop computers, tablets and terminals in everyday objects such as a fridge or a pair of glasses. The conference provides a forum to present and discuss emerging ideas and trends in this highly challenging research field.
