THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
With more than three lakh views on a short YouTube video on tourism in Kerala, The Travel Planners has shown that it knows a thing or two about reaching out to the world through the Internet. As further endorsement, the national award-winning tour operator received the award for the ‘Most Innovative use of Information Technology in Tourism Sector’ at the Kerala State Tourism Awards on December 18.
The award function was held at the Sargaalaya Kerala Arts & Crafts Village in Iringal, Vadakara.
The award is a huge recognition of The Travel Planners’ user-friendly presence, and timely and cutting edge utilisation of the web and social media tools for promotion and interaction on Kerala with prospective global customers.
“The number of tourists booking their holiday packages online has been steadily on the upswing in recent years and we have taken several steps to scale up our promotions through social media and web promotions to get maximum visibility in the digital space,” said Anish Kumar, CEO of The Travel Planners.
“We also use social media to encourage people to interact with the social media pages more and gain more information about tourism, culture, lifestyle, sustainability, and responsible tourism across the state and the nation through images, fun facts and informative posts,” he added.
