Wings of Love: A Memorable Experience for Handicapped Children

Wings of love, an initiative by the Rotary Clubs of Cochin International Airport, Cochin West and Cochin Tricity to conduct Flight travel for multiple handicapped children, conducted their 3rd season journey yesterday. As part of the program, 58 children and 11 teachers from 11 special schools in Ernakulam, Thrissur and Idukki districts travelled from Nedumbassery to Thiruvanathapuram by Indigo airlines. The journey turned out to be a memorable experience for the participants. The flight was board from Nedumbassery airport at 10 in the morning and reached Thiruvananthapuram by 10.15. Shoba Koshy, chairperson of Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights received the children at Thiruvananthapuram airport. The team also visited Thiruvananthapuram zoo which was an exciting experience for the children. Rotary club members Jyothy Ramachandran, P.R.V Nair, Sabu Kelathra and Romelal Madhavan also accompanied the team of children and teachers.
