  • Wonderla Kochi Wins Kerala State Pollution Control Award 2025

    KOCHI:
    Wonderla Kochi, India’s largest amusement park chain, is proud to announce that Wonderla Amusement Park, Kochi, has been honoured with the Kerala State Pollution Control Board Award 2025. The award was presented at AURA 2025, the State Pollution Control Board’s International Conclave on Environment, inaugurated by the Chief Minister, held at Adlux Convention Center, Kochi, on Saturday.

    The recognition came in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Roji M John, MLA, S Srikala, Chairperson, Kerala State Pollution Control Board, Sriram Shambashiva Rao, Special Secretary, Lathika Sasikumar, President, Karukutty Panchayat, Shaijo Parmbi, Vice President, Karukutty Panchayat, and U V Jose, Executive Director, Sujitha Mission.

    The award underscores Wonderla’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship while delivering world-class amusement experiences to millions of visitors.

    Over the years, Wonderla Kochi has pioneered a wide range of eco-friendly measures to reduce its carbon footprint and conserve natural resources. These efforts include recycling and reusing water through advanced pool treatment systems and a modern sewage treatment plant, and deploying water and energy saving measures such as tap aerators and advanced sludge drying systems. The park has also installed a 684 KW solar power plant and a DG synchronization system to cut down on emissions and optimize fuel use, introduced advanced energy monitoring software for real-time efficiency tracking, and established EV charging stations to encourage sustainable mobility.

    Speaking on this recognition, Arun K. Chittilappilly, Executive Chairman & Managing Director, Wonderla Holidays Ltd., said, “We are honoured to receive the Kerala State Pollution Control Board Award once again.
