By NE Reporter on May 26, 2021

    MUMBAI:
ACC Ltd, one of the leading producers of cement and ready-mix concrete in the country, has successfully supplied its Ready Mixed Concrete (RMX) product for the construction of the tallest temple in Asia, Shri Krishna Temple in Kurukshetra, Haryana.

This landmark project, once completed will stand tall at 74 meters (243 ft.). The ACC RMX team formulated a special mix for this project, which was of high quality and could be pumped vertically to a height of 74 meters. RMX was transported 83 kms in its wet form and a total of over 100 m3 RMX has been supplied to Ashram Trust for the temple construction.

“ACC has been a pioneer in Ready Mixed Concrete (RMX), which has helped redefine the quality of construction. Being a part of a landmark project by formulating a special mix best suited for the structure, strengthens our ability to deliver cutting-edge building solutions and accelerate value creation.” said, Sridhar Balakrishnan, MD & CEO, ACC Limited.

The use of RMX, which is manufactured under computer-controlled operations, is an environment friendly practice that ensures a cleaner work place and causes minimal disturbance to its surroundings. This makes its utility more significant in crowded cities and sensitive localities.

While it delivers higher efficacy, it also ensures customer convenience as it can be transported in ready-to-use freshly mixed form, and can be custom-made to suit different applications.

ACC has played a pivotal role in the development of several major infrastructure projects in India over its illustrious legacy of more than eight decades. It has been leveraging its knowledge and technical expertise to build solid and durable structures, making it synonymous with trust and confidence. ACC has also been a part of landmarks projects such as Bhakra Nangal Dam, JJ Flyover in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Sainj Hydroelectric Power Project in Himachal Pradesh and Qazigund-Banihal tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir.

ACC RMX contributed significantly to the rapid strides made by Indian urban transport. The Company has even supplied its quality concrete for the construction of metro projects in several cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Nagpur, helping reduce the travel time and enhancing the ease of living in these cities.

ACC with a history of ‘Category first’ innovations continues to consistently set new benchmarks by leveraging its expertise in research and innovation backed product development.
