The children should have more commitment to their parents and society, said Justice A. Muhamed Mustaque. He was inaugurating the second annual Indel Scholastic Awards distribution ceremony at Kalamassery.
Justice A. Muhamed Mustaque said that disputes between parents and children have been growing and that was the reason for the growing number of old age homes in the state. The scholastic award is an initiative by the Indel Group to recognize children of the employees for their outstanding academic performance. 130 students, from Grade 1 to Graduation who excelled in studies during the academic year 2016-17, were presented scholarships on the occasion.
Mohanan Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, Indel Group presided over the function. Umesh Mohan, Director, Indel Group said children were the agents of change in the society. That was what prompted Indel Group to provide scholarship to brilliant students of the family, he said.
Jessy Peter, Chairperson, Kalamassery Municipality; Anish Mohan, Director, Indel Group; Salil Venu Director, Indel Money and Anantharaman R., Director, Indel Money, among others were present on the occasion.
