IPL fever is back in India, this time with the peppy pistah tune to add to the spirit of the game. The bilingual track from the Malayalam-Tamil movie “Neram” directed by Alphonse Puthren has stolen the limelight this season. The not-so-meaningful nature of the song has gained it nationwide attention by now and has got all the crazy Indian cricket fans dancing to its funky beats.
Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions are the two teams introduced this year. The 9th season will begin on April 9 at 8p.m with its first battle between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai. However, it depends on the Mumbai High Court’s decision on the usage of water to maintain the pitch when the state suffers from acute water shortage.
