Palakkad: Malayalam film actor Sreejith Ravi was arrested by Kerala police under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act on the basis of a complaint by 13 girl students of a private school at Pathirippala in the Palakkad district of Kerala. The actor was accused of indecent exhibitionism. The formal complaint was lodged by the principal of the school. The actor was taken into custody from a film shooting location at Kollengode in Palakkad. His arrest has been recorded.
The girls alleged that the actor who was sitting in his car exposed himself as they passed by. It is alleged that he also took photo of the girls. They noted down the model and number of the car and complained to their principal.
The police officials were reluctant to act on the complaint but the arrest was made after the Childline activists intervened.
