New Delhi: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will take on the role of Congress Party’s star campaigner in Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections. She held discussions with Congress party’s in-charge for UP, Ghulam Nabi Azad on tuesday.
Political analysts see two angles to this development. One, Rahul Gandhi will fail utterly as a star campaigner of the party.
Another angle is that Congress is testing Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s magic in UP elections, as a rehearsal for the national elections in 2019. The 44-year-old Priyanka is seen as the only hope for the Party which has tasted bitter defeats in recent elections.
