The Queen of Arabian Sea is all set to witness the first ever premier conference on fashion industry. India Fashion Summit 2016, the premier business national conference which hosts country’s leading designers and industry experts will be conducted on 4 th September 2016 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Kochi.

Leading designer Rahul Mishra, Shantanu & Nikhil and Beena Kannnan, Fashion Retail Heads such as Narendra Kumar (Chief Creative Officer, Amazon), Gautam Kotamraju ( Creative Head of Private Brands,Amazon) Pernia Qureshi (Founder of Pernia’s Pop Up Shop), Jaspreeth Chandok (Vice President and Head of Fashion, IMG Reliance), Fashion stylist and consultant Prasad Bidapa , fashion journalists Neena Haridas (Editor, L’Officiel) and Vinod Nair (Former Fashion Editor,Hindustan Times and Times Of India) and other prominent personalities from the world of fashion will be the main speakers.
Enthralled with the concept of the event, department of tourism, Government of Kerala has come forth to co-host the show. Choosing Kerala as the destination for the inaugural season of IFS, Kerala is being brought to the national platform where veterans in fashion and related industries share their thoughts and ideas. Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation and Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation too has partnered with India Fashion Summit 2016 among a number of business houses and organizations in the industry.
A premier conference for fashion, India Fashion Summit will provide a well-rounded view of the issues that impact the fashion industry. It is the growing aspirations and demands of Malayalee customers and the destination Kerala that inspired the speakers to come down for the event.

The annual fashion contest for students, Ensemble conducted by Beena Kannan, MD and lead designer at Seematti has been rebranded as India Design Contest, an international platform where growing talents across the world compete with their best designs and it now is a part of the event, India Fashion Summit 2016. The event day will be started with the presentations of IDC contestants and the prize ceremony of the same will be held after the sessions of IFS 2016. The event will be followed with an award ceremony for the invited dignitaries.
India Fashion Summit
India Fashion Summit is a Fashion Awareness creation body created by Fashion enthusiasts, professionals and business house to promote Fashion and related industries in Kerala. It is contemplated with various stake holders to make this an annual event in collaboration with the government, business houses and top end designers to show case the opportunity and business in the fashion industry. IFS aims at sustainable development of fashion industry and promotion of budding talents through the cross over business.
