Makkal Needhi Maiam President Kamal Haasan said that this isn’t the election to choose between Sangi or Songi, we must choose the better future of Tamil Nadu.
During the election campaign at Erode, he said that educated politicians say the elected representatives should choose the Prime Minister. It is not politically dignified to announce the Prime Minister now itself.
When I had visited erode 8/9 months back, an old lady said, “I attended public meetings back when MGR was alive. Now I have come for yours, you do good for the society.” Had she asked me will you do good, I would have been a little anxious, but she gave me orders, her belief made me confident.
Saravanakumar said he has been chosen among so many educated candidates. I choose him because he has studied the people. I choose Saravanakumar because he is keen to serve the people. He is more educated than me. Great leaders have read the people, I’m doing the same.
This gentleman from AIDMK joining us is just the beginning. Many will follow him. Manigantan of Gobichettipalayam- DMK arts and culture wing joins MNM. I didn’t even finish the sentence and there is one more new entrant in the party.
What will MNM do in this election? Well, this isn’t just the election to choose your PM. This is to send your representative to Delhi. He has read Erode, he has read your struggles. I’m glad these two brothers have joined the right place. We are honest, nobody can echo the same, he said.
They are hoarding bundles of money, they can’t talk about honesty. I’m inspired by an elderly gentleman who is from Erode. I’m not insulting anybody, but I will call a thief a thief. No matter who they are. He may be a commoner, a bank officer, an industrialist or a minister, thievery is thievery.
I’m not reinventing politics, there were many dignified leaders, like the gentleman who was from here. Don’t ask why we must vote? Don’t say let us vote for Nota. Ex minister keeps giving ‘note’, you don’t do the same. If you are looking for an honest politician, you will find this torchlight.
Ministers who ask for a share in every business can never give good governance. They blame the middlemen, but they are the middlemen. If they stop looting, we can run two Tamil Nadus.
These two people joining us are signs that MNM is the need of the hour. They used to be a part of ‘Kazhagams’ which were needed then, now we need MNM. Your symbol is torchlight, Saravanakumar is your candidate, don’t forget that.
