The milk, sourced from 300 cows at the company’s Pandalam-based Agro Soft Farm, is processed at an in-house plant. “The quality of Aroma Fresh Milk comes from the quality of feed and fodder from our pesticide-free paddy lands,” said Sajeev. “We make sure that the protein source of cows feed is from plant origin and not from animal source, which gives the milk a good taste and quality.”
Even milk sourced from other farmers is put through the company’s stringent quality controls to ensure that it is free of preservatives, antibiotics, pesticides and chemicals, artificial fats and milk solids and other harmful chemicals used for increasing the shelf life of milk. Regular quality checks are done for every batch of milk and milk products in the in-house laboratory and periodically in an accredited lab.
The milk is now sold in five outlets in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, with a daily output of 10,000 litres, expectedto increase to 25,000 litres.
