  • V. S. Sunil Kumar to Inaugurate Thejaswini Coconut Producer Company on Nov 6

    KOCHI:
    Agriculture Minister of Kerala, V. S. Sunil Kumar will inaugurate the Agro processing complex of Thejaswini Coconut Producer Company on 6 th November 2017 at 2.30 pm at Peringom in Kannur District.
    C. Krishnan, Payyanur MLA will preside over the function. R. Sundar, Chief General Manager, Nabard, T.K.Jose, Principal Secretary, Department of Local Self Government, Dr. B. N. S. Murthy, Chairman, Coconut Development Board, Dr.P.Chowdappa, Director CPCRI, Mohanan Master, Vice Chairman, Coconut Development Board, P. R. Muraleedharan, Director, Coconut Development Board, Saradindu Das, Chief Coconut Development Officer, S. S. Nagesh, Assistant Manager, Nabard will also attend the function.
    The company has established coconut oil manufaturing unit (with a capacity to process 25,000 copra per day), automatic machine for dehusking 1200 coconut per hour, manure production unit, Coconut oil based soap unit having production capacity of 5000 numbers per day in the Agro Processing Complex company.
    Thejaswini Coconut Farmers Producer Company Ltd. (TCFPCL) is a producer company promoted by Coconut Development Board, Ministry of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India. It was registered under company’s act of India on 3rd June 2013. The company procures coconut and agri produces from farmers and processed at their plant at Peringome, Kannur. As part of Skill Development Training Programme of Coconut Development Board, Company had organized 24 batches of FOCT and 8 batches of Neera Technician training programmes at their training centers.
    Thejaswini Coconut Farmers Producer Company has also been selected as the winner of the National Entrepreneurship Award 2017 under Barefoot Enterprises category instituted by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
