KOCHI:
Kerala Blasters FC (KBFC) refuted allegations levelled by Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) regarding the amount paid for the ISL matches.

KBFC pointed out that after the 4 th season of ISL, GCDA and KBFC together calculated the maintenance cost as Rs 53.7 lakhs and KBFC paid Rs.24lakhs. However, KBFC rectified chair damage, toilets and electrical damages at a cost of Rs 28.7 lakh, which has to be done by GCDA.

After the 5 th season, the maintenance estimate calculated with the previous due (fourth season maintenance due) at Rs. 48.89 lakhs and KBFC agreed that they will do the civil maintenance and electrical maintenance during the lease period. The 5 th season damage report was given by GCDA on September 29, two days before the stadium allotment and KBFC already rectified the damages.

Even after completing two matches, KBFC is yet to sign an agreement with GCDA. The stadium was allotted on October 10 and the hike in rent of 20 percent was also not informed.

KBFC had already paid 10 lakh plus GST for the two matches held at Kochi. GCDA says that they permitted KBFC for the goal keeping session which was held before the season as free for one month and selection trials for 5days. KBFC said that it is purely a non-commercial activity and the KBFC is maintaining the pitch.

As per agreement in the season 5, its clearly says that the lessee shall earmark a specified area in e sector for the GCDA employees to witness the matches during the lease period and provide free passes for all of them and one guest each. During the season 5 and 6, KBFC provided 2400 tickets to the GCDA.
