ASEAN India Hackathon and Startup Festival held at Ministry of External Affairs Delhi

NEW DELHI:
India is currently celebrating the silver jubilee of its Dialogue Relations with ASEAN on the theme “Shared Values, Common Destiny”, which builds upon the civilization and cultural ties that have bound lndia and ASEAN countries for two millennia. A large number of events spanning the political, economic, cultural and people-to-people domain have been planned and held in the course of the year across India and ASEAN Member States to mark this historic milestone in our relationship.
As a part of these celebratory events, Ministry of External Affairs along with Indian Chamber of Commerce (lCC) organized “ASEAN-India Start up Festival and Hackathon and Visit to Successful Indian Start ups” from 17th to 20th January 2018 at Hyderabad, Jaipur and Delhi. 24 startups and ethical hackers from ASEAN countries came to India and participated in this 4 day program spanning across 3 cities namely Hyderabad, Jaipur and Delhi. More than 100 startups participated on the first day of the festival in Hyderabad. A parallel hackathon was also organised in Hyderabad which witnessed participation from India as well as ASEAN Ethical hackers.
The Valedictory session of the same was organized at New Delhi which witnessed deliberation from Preeti Saran (Secretary-East), K.J. Alphons Union Minister of State Tourism and Dr. Rajeev Singh (Director General, ICC).
Ideaspace Foundation, Philippines and Now floats from India (ranked as 30 under Forbes 30) shared their experience with the participating delegates too.
