Conclusion by Workshops Should be Translated into Action: Dr. J. Letha

It should be ensured that the conclusions made in workshops are translated into action, said Cusat Vice Chancellor, Dr. J. Letha. She was inaugurating the International Training Workshop on Meiofauna organized by the Department of Marine Biology of Cusat in collaboration with Texas University, USA and Aquatic Biology & Fisheries Department, Kerala University.
The Vice Chancellor also exhorted that there should be a holistic approach to integrate all the research work of similar nature occurring in the various departments of the University. All efforts should be made to take the University nearer to the public, Dr. Letha added.
Dr. S.C. Joshi, IFS, Chairman, State Bio Diversity Board in his presidential address called upon the researchers in the field of biodiversity to share their findings with the Board to facilitate creation of a Data Bank on Bio-diversity.
The Training Manual and CD were released by Dr. S.C. Joshi by handing over a copy to Vice chancellor Dr. J. Letha. Dr. Kailash Chandra, Director, ZSI, Kolkata, Dr. M. Sudhakar, Director, CMLRE, Dr. N. Chandramohanakumar, Syndicate Member, Dr. P. K. Abdul Azis, former Vice Chancellor Cusat & AMU, Dr. Aneykutty Joseph, Dr. Rosamma Philip and Dr. Bijoy Nandan also spoke.
