Cusat : MoU Signed for Scientific Collaboration with Sweden

The Advanced Centre for Atmospheric Radar Research (ACARR), Cusat, National Centre for Antarctic Ocean Research, Goa and the Swedish Space Physics Institute have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for scientific co-operation.
Cusat Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Letha, NCAOR group Director Dr. Thampan Meloth and Dr. Sheila Kirkwood of Swedish Space Physics Institute participated in the function. Dr. M. Bhasi, Cusat Syndicate Member, Dr. Sunil. K. Narayanankutty, ACARR Director Dr. K. Mohankumar, Dr. Evgenia Belova (Sweden) and Dr. K. Satheesan also spoke at the function.
Earlier, the ownership of the Swedish Radar in Antarctica was handed over to NCAOR. The availability of data from the Radar in Kiruna in Sweden which is in the north pole, Antarctic Radar and ACARR is expected to give the researchers in Cusat the opportunity for a wider study on the atmospheric changes globally paving way for more accurate climatic predictions.
