Loyola Old Boys Global Leadership Award, Young Achiever’s Award Presented

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The Loyola Old Boys’ Association (LOBA), the alumni association of the old students of the Loyola School, Thiruvananthapuram, which has a membership of over 4000 old boys spread across the globe, presented its annual Global Leadership Award(GLA) and
LOBA Young Achiever’s Award. This year LOBA also initiated a pension scheme for the retired non-teaching staff of Loyola.
Chief Guest Jithin C Nedumala, Co-Founder and CEO of Make A Difference (MAD) presented this year’s Global Leadership Award (GLA) to Sankar Krishnan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Ashoka University, while Loyola School Principal Rev Fr. Devassy Paul S J handed over the LOBA Young Achiever’s Award to Balakrishnan Madhavankutty, Resident Representative, Government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, at the World Bank, at function held at the Golf Club on January 19.
C Padmakumar, Treasurer, LOBA, welcomed the audience to the event which was presided over by Pradeep P Suthan, President, LOBA. B O Sebastian, Ranjan Kanthy, Dr Satish Bhaskar and P Vijaykumar were also present. The Loyola Old Boys’ Association (LOBA) launched its annual Global Leadership Awards (GLA) in 2015 and was first among schools in India to do so. Last year the association had initiated a medical insurance programme for around 120 Loyola School staff members.
