Mane Kancor bags CII Award for Food Safety

Mane Kancor Ingredients Pvt. Ltd.has been bestowed with the CII Award for Food Safety at a virtual event. Mane Kancor won the Commendation Certificate for Significant Achievement in Food Safety under the category of large manufactures of food ingredients, processing aids, oleoresins, and essential oils for the year 2021.

Since the pandemic situation took off in 2020, CII chose a virtual assessment methodology. The virtual assessment process involved more than 120 man-hours of rigorous on-site assessment per applicant with assessors from a pool of 600 plus CII trained and practicing food safety professionals with diverse and extensive experience in various food sectors. GeemonKorah, CEO and Director of Mane Kancor, opined “We are proud to receive the CII Food Safety Award consecutively for the second time. It is a strong recognition for the company’s focus and commitment towards food safety in all our ingredient solutions offered to the customers.”

The CII Award for Food Safety, a one of a kind award on Food Safety Maturity Assessment in India, was launched by CII in 2010 to promote internationally benchmarked practices on food safety in small, medium and large food businesses and build capacity in the food value chain. The award has gained significant relevance in the current scenario, given the enactment of the new Food Safety and Standards Rules and Regulations 2011 in the country.
