Samavarthanam 2017 Held at Rajagiri

The course completion ceremony Samavarthanam 2017 of the sixth & seventh batches of M.Tech and thirteenth batch of B.Tech degree students of Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kakkanad was held on May 19, 2017.
Dr M. Abdul Rahiman, Pro Vice Chancellor, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. AIMG_1607ddressing the graduates, Dr Rahiman stated that in the technologically driven
growth that India is witnessing today, there will be no dearth of opportunities for talented and skilled engineers. He also emphasized on the need for values and social commitment in young professionals.
546 B.Tech degree and 170 M.Tech degree graduates received their course completion certificates on the occasion. Fr Dr. Jose Kuriedath, Provincial & Manager, presided over the programme. Fr. Jose Alex, Director, Dr. A. Unnikrishnan, Principal, Dr. John M. George, Dean & Vice Principal, and Rijin John, RSET Alumni Association President, were also present on the occasion.
RSET has been successful in consistently maintaining its leading position in academics in both Mahatma Gandhi University and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University over the years. The college also recorded the highest number of intake in the state in the 2016 engineering admissions.
RSET students have published widely in national and international journals; they have organized and participated in various national and international conferences. More than twenty prominent academicians from leading national and international universities have also visited the campus during the last one year, enriching the academic experience.
The college has also been in the forefront in both co-curricular and extra curricular activities in the last year. Students participated and won prizes in the university youth festival. The college sports teams have won various university level championships and the college has been awarded the best performing college in sports under the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. RSET IEDC was acknowledged by Kerala Start Up Mission (KSUM) for its exemplary performance during the academic year 2016-17, and was selected as one of best IEDCs in Kerala.
As in the previous years, this year too RSET has a placement percentage over 90%. The students graduating this year have received a total of 652 offers from more than 70 companies, including prominent Japanese companies. The leading recruiters for this year are Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, Commvault, SAP, Mytrah, MRF, Samsung, and RMC Redimix. The highest pay packet offered is Rupees Fourteen Lakhs per annum. Students in this batch also had the opportunity to do paid internships in Japan and Germany. A few students have also secured full scholarships for higher education in foreign universities.
