T. J. Vinod MLA has launched the website of SRVS OSA Global Meet 2020, organized by the Ernakulam SRV School Old Students’ Association at a function held at Azaadi College Kootthambalam, Kochi. SRV Global Meet Chairman Prof. B.R Ajith presided over the function. GCDA Chairman P.B Salim, Alumnus and Kochi Municipal Corporation Councilor KVP Krishnakumar ,Lino Jacob, Sasidharan and Madhu were present.
Alumni from the US, UK, Germany, France, Canada, Malaysia, UAE and Singapore will attend the global gathering. The event, which will be held at the school campus on 2020 December 20 atSRV School campus, will be attended by about 200 alumni from across the country and abroad. 2000 former students will attend the function via virtual meeting.
A global gathering of alumni will be held to coincide with the 175th anniversary of SRV School. The school was started by Rama Varm a,the Maharaja of Cochin in 1844 and was earlier known as the Cochin Rajas School. In 1865 it was renamed His Highness the Rajas School. The alumni of the school are well known personalities nationally and internationally.
In 1995, the school celebrated its 150th anniversary. Changampuzha Krishnapilla, Dr. Kasturi Rangan and others were early students of the school.
