StartUp Misson’s Four-day Startup Meet to Begin on Feb 5 in Kozhikode

Kerala Startup Mission ( KSUM) has planned a major four-day conclave in Malabar from February 5 to support young entrepreneurial aspirants by bringing together investors, venture capital providers, technical experts and policy planners, providing them with a window to showcase ideas and clinch the instant back-up for their realisation.
Google India CEO Rajan Anandan will be among the technical and industry leaders participating in the event, which lures enterprising startups from across the state. The launch of Mobile 10x Hub will be done by the Google head at Calicut cyber park on 7th.
The event will commence with KSUM’s Ninth Idea Day on February 5, with over 100 startups and students pitching before the experts ideas to enlist their support to carry them forward. There will be 12 themes and startups from different themes will be presenting for the same. These startups will be getting a grant of upto Rs 12 lakh. There will be a seminar by Action Coach Sanjai Chaturvedi for the startups in 6 steps in building an enterprise.
On the 6th of February the Seeding Kerala event at UL Cyber park, Kozhikkode, will be one of the unique investor meets ever held in Kerala, enabling the talents with ideas to meet Angel Investors, VC Funds sponsors and High Networth Individuals (HNI) to convert their concepts into reality. They will assemble for brainstorming sessions to take stock of the startup scenario in the state and the strategies to be chalked out to take the plans forward.
The salient features of the conclave will include Startup Investment Workshop being conducted by Lets venture where a clear idea on how to build up an investable startup will be provided.
Product startups attending the event will be getting an opurtunity to showcase their products .The top 30 startups will be selected after reviewing the applications and will be given the opportunity.
Startups can validate their products with investors as well as entrepreneurs and get advice on the product optimisation and product market strategies. Also Selected startups will get an amazing opportunity to pitch their product on the open stage and get potential investors. The jury will be evaluating the products and take the discussions further.
Startups that have applied for the seeding Kerala event will also get an opportunity to have one-to-one meeting with the investors. The applications from the seeding Kerala registrations will be evaluated and sent to the investors where they will be selecting the startups for the discussions.
The Seeding Kerala event will be focused on startups applying from Kerala and so will be a great opportunity to tap investments and mentorship possibility from the experts. Applicants can start registering on www.seedingkerala.in so that the Matchmaking with investors can be done effectively.
The action-packed third day on 7th Feb will witness the mobile 10x incubator launching mobile incubator in association with Internet and Mobile Association of Indiato promote world-class mobile apps in the country. Mr RajanAnandan will be inaugurating the initiative.
The same day, Kerala Startup Mission will host the Mega Demand Day with the Government departments showcasing their requirements for the start-ups to build the solutions, which is one of the largest such events happening in the country.
Yes Bank with its Yes Head Startup programme will be the banking partner of the event. Bank Executive Vice President Anil Chorichathu will sensitise the participants about this programme.
The event will see the launch of Future Spark on 8th of February initiative of KSUM, the unique platform for school students to ideate, innovate, build and learn on future technologies and incept the basic concepts of these technologies to help them think exponentially.
The highlight of the penultimate day of the conclave will be the Future spark and inauguration of the Kasaragode innovation centre. Future Spark event comprise of a series of workshops, hands on session in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Robotics and other technologies. This will be the unique platform for the students to Ideate, Innovate, Build and learn on future technologies. The students will be in the grades starting from 5th std to 12th std. KSUM is implementing the project across the state and the initial target will be for 10000 school students.
