KOCHI:
Aster Medcity, in collaboration with the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI) Kochi chapter, organized a two-day ENT-Neurotology Conference on 21st and 22nd of the month at IMA House, Kochi. The conference focused on the latest updates and various aspects of the specialty under the ENT Department, Neurotology, which exclusively deals with the management of vertigo and other complex balance disorders. The conclave was inaugurated by Farhaan Yasin, Aser India, Vice President and Dr. T R John, Senior Consultant – Psychiatry, Aster Medcity.
Neurotology is a crucial field that requires specialized expertise, and Aster Medcity is the only institution in the state to have an exclusive division of Neurotology led by Dr. Sreeram P, Consultant, ENT & Neurotology under the ENT department.
The collaboration between Aster Medcity and AOI Kochi Chapter brought together International expert like Dr. Michael Strupp, Professor of Neurology and Neurophysiology, Ludwig- Maximilians-University Munich- Germany. The other speakers included Dr. Srinivas Dorassala, Professor of ENT from Bangalore, Dr. Prateek Porwal, ENT- Neurotology from Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Madhusudanan, Professor of Neurology from Thiruvananthapuram.
The conference also featured experts who shared valuable insights on topics including systematic and clinical approaches to falls, managing motion sickness, Neurotology updates, challenges, vestibular physiology, and other related aspects that hold significant relevance in the domain of Neurotology.
The conference was organized by the doctors from Aster Medcity, including Dr. Sreeram P, Dr. Vineeth Viswam, Dr. Praveen Gopinath, and Dr. Feroze Khan K.
