KOCHI:
A group of High Court advocates, led by the Kerala State Human Rights Commission’s Acting Chairperson and former District Sessions Judge, P Mohana Das, joined professional singers in laying out a musical treat of evergreen, lilting melodies as part of the ‘Arts and Medicine’ programme today at the Government General Hospital.
Mohana Das and advocate Malini K Menon rendered the duet, ‘Chandrikayil Aliyunnu’. The team concluded with a group song, ‘Poovili Poovili Ponnonamayi’ heralding Onam in all its pomp and glory. Over sixteen songs echoed through the corridors as the team effortlessly rendered one nostalgic number after the other for the assembled audience of patients, hospital staff and bystanders.
The 185th edition of the Arts and Medicine show, which drew requests for encores and much applause, was coordinated by Soniya M, an advocate at the High Court who put together a team consisting of Advocates Rajasree, Simi Ranjith, Sabitha, Gokuldas, Vipindas, Malini K Menon, Rija Suman, Sanal Kunjachan and Reshmi Sanal; and Sivani R of Super Star Junior fame, and singers Sumesh Ayiroor and Maxi Charlie.
