Cusat: Agri Tourism and Small Scale Industries Needs to be the Focus of the Next State Budget

Agro Tourism, Bio shielding of the coastal area, Gender Budgeting and Rehabilitation package for small units need more attention, suggested the Pre-Budget panel discussion conducted by the Centre for Budget Studies in Cusat.
Cusat Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Letha inaugurated the function and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. P. G.Sankaran presided . Dr. Nirmala Padmanabhan, Associate Professor, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, Dr. K. S. Purushan, Retd. Professor, Agriculture University, Thrissur, Dr. P. M. Mathew, Director, Institute of Small Industries and Development, Kochi and Kiran Kumar, Industrialist, Palakkad,were participated the panel discussion.
Dr. M. K. Sukumaran Nair, Director CBS, Dr. S. Harikumar, Head Department of Applied Economics spoke at the function. A detailed report of the recommendations was sent to the Finance Ministry.
