KOZHIKODE: Eduport emerged champions at the first-ever Sahya Cricket League (SCL) organized by Kozhikode Government Cyberpark, defeating CodeAce by 12 runs in the final of the championship aimed to lessen stress among the IT employees.

At the brand-new Cyber Sports Arena, Eduport batted first and scored 61 runs in the stipulated eight overs. CodeAce, in reply, could muster only 49 runs, losing seven wickets. The 2020-founded Eduport is an education technology company functioning under Kerala Startup Mission.

The semi-final matches were between Eduport and PBS, and CodeAce and Welkinwits. The prizes were distributed by Cyberpark’s HR & Marketing officer Anusree M. The day-1 of SCL, being organized by Sahya Cricket Club, saw five matches being played out between ten companies.

The Cyber Sports Arena was inaugurated on February 23 by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The initiative seeks to establish the Sports Arena as part of reducing the stress of the employees through fitness and entertainment.
