GIM to Host Seminar on Effects of Demonetisation on Business and the Economy at ICG Centre

In an effort to discuss and deliberate on the positive and negative impact of Demonetisation, the premier B-school, Goa Institute of Management (GIM) will be organising a seminar on the Effects of Demonetisation on Business and the Economy on November 28th, 2017 between 9 AM and 1 PM at the International Centre, Dona Paula, Goa.
The agenda is to deliberate extensively on the positive and the negative effects of demonetisation both in the short and the long run and to pass on the learnings to policymakers and industry captains. The audience will include a mix of industrialists, businessmen, professionals and academics. The event would be chaired by Nasser Munjee, Chairman, Board of Governors, GIM. He is also the Chairman, Development Credit Bank and former MD and CEO at IDFC Ltd.
GIM has lined up a panel of highly acclaimed and knowledgeable experts on the subject of Demonetisation as keynote speakers. R. Gandhi, Former Deputy Governor, RBI and the official in charge of Operation Demonetisation will be speaking at the session. Also present will be Dr. Omkar Goswami, Founder & Chairperson, Corporate & Economic Research Group, Dr. C. Rammanohar Reddy, Former Editor, Economic and Political Weekly and Dr. Arun Kumar, Formerly with the Jawaharlal Nehru University and currently Malcolm Adiseshaiah Chair Professor, Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi.
Besides the keynote addresses, the session will also include a panel discussion on the subject moderated by Prof. Anand Teltumbde, faculty member at GIM which will see a healthy debate on the subject.
