London: India won silver in the final of Champions Trophy Hockey Tournament after a gap of 34 years. The team missed the gold as they lost to the world champions Australia in a penalty shootout(1-3).
The announcement of the results was delayed due to the protests of the Indian team against the decision on a shootout.
The Indian team has lodged an appeal against the second shot awarded to Australia.
