Kerala Health Tourism Meet at Kozhikode

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) would be organizing the 6 th edition of Kerala Health Tourism (KHT), the flagship programme of the Health & Tourism Sector in Kerala on 17-18 November 2017 at The Raviz Resort & Spa Kadavu, Kozhikode, Kerala.
The programme is being held in partnership with the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), Government of Kerala and the programme has been a resounding success in all its previous
editions, first held in 2006. To project the medical and tourism facilities in North Malabar and other non-metro parts of Kerala, this year the event would be held at Kozhikode.
The program aims to create awareness and get all stakeholders together to promote Kerala as the hub for medical tourism in India by 2020.  As an outcome of the programme, the Kerala Medical Travel Society would be made a registered society and its activities would be formally supported with the involvement of government and industry members who would actively take part in trade shows to increase healthcare visitors to our State.
The programme will consist of one-and- half -day of Conference, two-day Exhibition and B2B & B2G meetings. KHT will ensure participation of all stakeholders to share their views and jointly take action towards the upliftment of health tourism in Kerala. More than 300 national & international delegates are expected to participate in the conference and over 800 visitors for the exhibition.
Delegations from Oman, Maldives & Saudi Arabia will be joining the event. Apart from the Inaugural & Valedictory sessions, the Conference will have focused sessions on Developing North Malabar as a Medical Tourism Destination; Ethical Medical Practices in Healthcare & Infection Prevention and Control; Globalisation of Healthcare Market; Medical value travel – Mainstreaming Eye care & Dental Tourism; Mobility of Patients across International borders.
The exhibition would see participation from international Insurance Companies, Third Party Administrators, Airlines, Embassies and Trade Offices, leading Hospitals, Hotels and Resorts, Spas and Health Travel & Tour Operators. Meitra Hospital, Kozhikode & Ananthapuri Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram are the Platinum
sponsors of this year’s edition of KHT.
All the major hospitals in the state would also actively participate in the programme.
