KSIDC Funded Startup Wins India-Isreal Global Innovation Challenge Award

ILOVE9MONTHS- a Maternity wellness organisation, founded by 3 Malayali women entrepreneurs, was awarded the first prize in the Indo-Israel Innovation Challenge in Healthcare Category 1(Solutions for real-time health monitoring, home care, remote care, periodic counselling and advice on health management for NCDs (Non- Communicable Disease).
The event attended by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu was held at icreate Ahmedabad on 17 th Jnanuary 2018.The awardees get an opportunity to work on proof of concept, funding support, mentoring and industry meet in India and Israel. Anjali Raj, COO and co-founder of Ilove9months said that Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) believed in their concept and provided seed fund assistance of Rs.25 Lakhs at a very early stage. 50% of ILOVE9MONTHS App downloads are from the state of Kerala.
Ilove9months has developed an m-health platform ( App) through which Maternity and antenatal wellness services of international standards, which was once a niche service, is now available to millions of women irrespective of their socio-economic status and geographical barriers. The services are in line with UNICEF’s “priority interventions” during the critical window between pre-conception to post pregnancy.The App is easily accessible and affordable and has a host of user benefits like 4000+ plus minutes of pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and post pregnancy exercise videos, antenatal class videos, blogs/tips/articles.
Personalised Question& Answer forum and a 10 free maternal and infant health trackers (immunization, infant development, fetal growth etc.) aimed at improving maternal and infant health outcomes. Ilove9months is also pioneering trained and certified birth companions in India, which is in line with the decision by Union Health Ministry to allow ‘birth companions’ during deliveries as one of the first initiatives towards reducing Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR).
The IL9MONTHS APP also acts as an affordable and localised medium through which the government can monitor real time data which can be used forpolicy development on health care initiatives.
