Dr. Alain Cribier, the esteemed pioneer of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVI) and Medical Director of Rouen Medical Training Center visited Aster Medcity. Dr. Cribier, Head of the Department of Cardiology at Rouen University, is renowned for performing the world’s inaugural Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) on April 16, 2002.

During his visit to Aster Medcity, Dr. Cribier engaged in a knowledge-sharing workshop held for the cardiologists in Kochi. The noted French interventional cardiologist shed light on the most critical and groundbreaking procedures and latest advancements in cardiac interventions emphasizing their significance in the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare. His visit was exclusively to Aster Medcity in Kerala.

Dr. Alan Cribier’s groundbreaking achievements include the initiation of the first transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedure globally. Utilizing Percutaneous Valve Technology (PVT) percutaneous heart valve, he set the stage for a medical revolution on April 16, 2002.
