Selection Trials for Admission to Sports Schools from Jan 22 to Feb 11

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Selection trials for admission of students to the G V Raja Sports School, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kannur Sports Division for the 2019-20 academic year will be conducted in different districts across the state from January 22 to February 11.

Students interested in athletics, basketball, football, volleyball, taekwondo, wrestling, hockey, weight lifting, boxing and judo can appear for the selection trial, being organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Kerala. The admissions will be made to 7th, 8th and 9th standards and plus-1/VHSE.

The venue and the date for selection trials in each district are:
Kannur (Polce Parade Ground, Kannur, January 22 ), Kasargod ,(Periya Navodaya Vidyalaya, January 23), Wayanad (Panchayat Stadium, Meenangaldi, January 24), Kozhikode(Physical Education College, January 25), Malappuram ( Calicut University Stadium, January 28), Palakkad (Mercy College Ground, January 29), Thrissur (Indoor Stadium, January 30), Ernakulam (Maharaja’s College Stadium, February 1), Kottayam (,CMS College Ground, February 2), Idukki (,St Joseph’s College, Arakkulam, February 5), Pathanamthitta (District Stadium, February 6), Alappuzha (SDV Higher Secondary Schoo) February 7), Kollam (Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, February 8) and Thiruvananthapuram ( CSN Stadium, February 11).

Students participating in the selection trials should appear at the venue specified for each district with the document to prove their date of birth and a photograph. They can also bring the relevant certificates, in case they have participated in district, state or national sports events.
