6th Machinery Expo to Begin from Feb 10

KOCHI:
The Machinery Expo 2024 organized by Kerala Industries and Commerce Department will be conducted from 10 th to 13th of February. The 6th edition of the Machinery Expo will be held at the KINFRA International Exhibition Centre, Kakkanad. Industries, Law and Coir Minister P Rajeeve will inaugurate the expo here at 10.30 AM. Expo 2024 aims to showcase state-of-the-art technologies and manufacturing solutions for the promotion of micro small and medium enterprises, said General Manager and Expo Organizing Committee Convener Najeeb P A at a press conference held in Kochi.

100s of leading machine manufacturing companies from various parts of the country will participate in the expo which consists of about 166 stalls. The expo will display state-of- the-art technologies and manufacturing solutions for the promotion of micro small and medium enterprises. The expo aims to showcase the latest trends in technologies with an emphasis on machine tools, automation technologies, CNC machines & systems, SPMs and other advanced processing and packaging machinery for various sectors. The exhibition will help prospective entrepreneurs get first-hand information on technological developments, live demos of machinery and other techno-commercial details. The expo will provide a platform to display the machines and equipment for application in various sectors, for one- to-one interaction with prospective and existing entrepreneurs. An area of 5000 square feet
is earmarked for the exhibition of heavy machinery.

Sector-based machineries are exhibited in 6 domes is the special feature of this year’s expo. Food courts are also arranged as part of the expo. In the last two years, more than 2 lakh new enterprises have been started in the state as part of a government initiative, investment of more than 13000 crore and more than 4 lakh employment opportunities have been created. Machinery expo will further add more strength to the industrial growth in the state. The expo will become a milestone in the state’s industrial sector and also a great opportunity for new and upcoming entrepreneurs. The Machinery Expo will provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs to interact with machine manufacturers and learn first-hand information on the workings and technology of
machines.

Uma Thomas MLA will preside over the opening session of this national machinery expo by the state government. Hibi Eden MP will be the chief guest. Ernakulam District Panchayat president Manoj Muthedan will deliver the keynote address and Industries Principal Secretary A. P. M. Mohammad Hanish and Industries and Commerce Director S.
