Following their West Indies tour during the winter, the England Men’s Cricket team is headed for a tour in India to play in a five-test match tournament. Playing India at home will be a tough series for England as they’ll be going against one of the greatest cricket teams in the World.

England’s last tour in India was in 2021 and the upcoming 2024 series promises to be a closely-contested encounter. India is a dream destination for many cricket lovers across the world, as the residents offer an electric passion and energy for the game. Here are key details about England’s cricket tour of India in 2024, starting from January to March.

What’s the cricket match schedule?
While it’s common for tickets for cricket tests between India and England to be available at a comparatively rate, the organizers have already unveiled the schedule. As such, you can visit your go to gambling site and check out the odds available for the games. These games will be hosted across several grounds in the country, including:

● First Test – Hyderabad (25th – 29th January)
● Second Test – Visakhapatnam (2nd – 6th February)
● Third Test – Rajkot (15th – 19th February)
● Fourth Test – Ranchi (23rd – 27th February)
● Fifth Test – Dharamshala (7th – 11th March)

According to the organizers, the first test will kick off on 25th January and there will be a four day gap between the first and the second match. The tournament will also feature an eight-day break in between the second and the third tests. There will also be a six-day gap as the teams will be traveling to Ranchi for their fourth Test.

Additionally, the last Test will be hosted on 7 th March, only eight days after the fourth Test ends.

A look at previous India vs England cricket Tests
Looking at previous Test performances, India and England have gone against each other in 131 games. Out of these games, England has emerged victorious on 50 occasions, while India has only won 31 times. 50 games have also ended in a draw. However, England hasn’t won a Test series against India on home grounds since the 2012/2013 seasons, when Alastair Cook and his men became the first English team to win in India since the 1984/85 season.

Since their last victory in the country, England has visited India twice, in 2020/2021 and 2016- 2017. However, they went back home empty-handed on both occasions, despite trying their best to secure the victory. That shows that the upcoming 2024 cricket tour will be a tough run for the English side, although the action promises to be quite intriguing for cricket fans considering the performance that England put on during their last tour.
