Global Ayurveda Fest: Scientific Papers Cross 2,000

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The ensuing Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF 2023), scheduled to be held here from December 1 to 5, has elicited overwhelming response from around the world with the scientific papers invited for the flagship event crossing 2,000, prompting the organisers to extend the deadline for submission of abstracts to October 25.

Earlier, GAF had set October 20 as the last date for submission of scientific papers to be presented at the event from leading Ayurvedic practitioners, academics, researchers, students and R&D professionals from across the world.

The core theme of GAF 2023, the biggest ever international conclave on the time-tested Indian medicine and wellness system, is “Emerging Challenges in Healthcare & A Resurgent Ayurveda.”

Apart from presentation of papers and deliberations on the focal theme, papers on all sub-specialities of Ayurveda, allied knowledge systems, interdisciplinary areas in Ayurveda with modern sciences, medicinal plants drug development, policies and regulations will be considered for presentation at the event.

Papers can also be submitted for special sessions on Ayurveda Biology, Vrikshayurveda and Ethno veterinary medicine. The abstracts of scientific papers should be submitted online through www.gafindia.org.

The biennial event is being organized by the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA) in association with Ministry of Ayush, Government of India; Department of Ayush; Government of Kerala; Ayurveda fraternity represented by AMAI, AMMOI, AHMA, KISMA, ADMA, Viswa Ayurveda Parishad and 14 other Ayurveda Associations at the Greenfield International Stadium, Karyavattom, in the Kerala capital.

The organising body has already sent out invitations to ambassadors of 75 countries in India for their participation in the prestigious event. Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri V Muraleedharan, who is the Chairman of the Organising Committee of GAF, has written to the ambassadors of these countries inviting them to the meet that focuses on Ayurveda’s huge potential in addressing the health challenges of the present world.

The conclave will witness the convergence of many top scientists, 7,500 delegates from 75 countries. The event will focus on projecting Ayurveda’s huge potential in addressing the world’s health challenges and setting a platform for global networking of Ayurveda practitioners and stakeholders.
